Have you ever heard of Laura Diaz? I am sure that if you live in the Los Angeles area or you get Los Angeles news, then you definitely would have! Laura Diaz, for those of you who don’t know, is an anchorwoman for KCBS-TV, also known as CBS 2 KCAL 9 News Team. Anchor Laura Diaz was won a variety of awards and distinguishes in the span of her career. For instance, in the year 1989, Laura Diaz was named lead anchor for the CBS station’s 5 pm and 11 PM newscasts. That might now sound like much to some people, but it was ground breaking in Laura Diaz’s case because she was the first Hispanic woman to anchor the weekday news at an English-language TV station in Los Angeles! I’d say that that is a huge achievement! Also, CBS anchor Laura Diaz has worked on a variety of interesting programs such as the Vista LA, on KABC-TV, which was the first public affairs program serving English speaking Latino audience in the Southern California area. Thank you for posting this. I am a Journalism student at UCLA, and I gotta tell you that it is about time someone wrote something about Laura Diaz Anchor. Guess you beat me too the punch :-). as a Hispanic Woman. I think it is great to see Laura on the news. It just goes to show that you can do anything you put your heart, and mind into thank you, and keep up the CBS News Laura Diaz!
I think Laura is one of the hottest news ancors on tv!
