Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry

I think that it is all too easy at this time of year to get caught up in the consumerism of the holidays. Not that I think that it is bad to spend money right now or buy presents for your friends and loved ones, but I think that now is a great time to give back to the community. One great way to give back this holiday season is through a little something that Sears started- it’s the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry. This Wish Registry allows you to donate, although it is not tax-deductible, to our country’s soldiers, their families and veterans. How it works it that you donate money to the program and Sears gives them a gift card for the Holidays. If you go to the website, you can read some very touching letters from such people and you can also see what our heroes and their families are asking for this holiday season. Most of what they are asking for are what I consider basic necessities, like shoes and socks. I think that Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry is one of the best ways to help out some very deserving folks this holiday season, so please give it a look and donate if you can!
