New York Court Reporting

When I think of court reporters, I think of a courtroom and legal matters. It wasn’t until earlier today that I discovered that court reporting is a much broader field than I realized! Court Reporters don’t have to work in courtrooms! Court Reporters are utilized in other areas of the legal field like in depositions, arbitrations, and other formal hearings. Court Reporters can also be found outside of the legal field as well. Court Reporters can been seen working as closed caption specialists—which makes sense because Court Reporters have to type pretty darn fast in order to keep up with all the talking—and they also provide other real time events—like religious services, classes, or weddings. In all of these fields, Court Reporters have very important jobs to do and they must do them well if they are to be successful. Who would want to be on trial or have a trial with an incompetent court reporter that didn’t keep an accurate and detailed account of what was going on? Or who would want to hire a court reporter to give a real time transcription of a show when the court reporter couldn’t keep up and kept tying the wrong thing? I sure know that I wouldn’t and I can’t imagine that anyone would!! That is why it is very important that you get a properly trained court reporter that is certified. Of course, where to look for one can be quite daunting if you have never had to do so before. Luckily, Court Reporter Net can help you there! Court Reporter Net has a full range of services from court reporting to other areas like videographers and transcription. So, whether you need to hire some new york court reporters or some from a completely different state, you should definitely check them out!
