Great American Cook Off!

So I was browsing The Great American Cook Off website today, and I realized that they are having an incredible contest right now, a free trip to New Orleans (hotel, air fare, dining experiences, etc)!  How awesome does that sound? All you have to do is visit the cook off website and pick your favorite mouth watering recipe- believe me, I’ve read them all and they are mouth watering!  My favorite recipe of the ones that you can pick from has got to be the “Pan Roasted Glazed Rockfish with Peas and Carrots” by Chef Tafari Campbell from Maryland, although I don’t now that I would make it with shrimp, I’m poor, it could be expensive, and I’ve never eaten shrimp before in my life.  I mainly love it because of the peas and carrots, two of my favorite vegetables, can't go wrong there!  The other ones sounds super delicious too, and healthy!   

I love The Great American Cook Off for so many reasons, one being that they promote sustainable and local fishing/ eating practices.  I cannot argue with people who are about making a better environment and economy.  Besides, it is just good sense to know where your food comes from.  Another reason why I love The Great American Cook Off because it is all about the United States and which State can take home the crown of being the best in regards to seafood.  I also love the fact that I don’t actually have to be in Louisiana to watch it since they are going to be playing it on The Food Network, totally one of my favorite channels.  Anyways, you all need to get out there and vote for your favorite recipe, who knows, you might be the lucky winner who wins a trip to New Orleans!
