When I think of Hollywood pickup lines, I often think of Mae West.  She always had some of the funniest pickup lines—or come-ons that I have ever heard.  Like when she said, “Why don’t you come up sometimes and see me?”-from She Done Him Wrong.  Another one of my favorites is from the same movie when she said, “Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?”  Those are just so Mae West, although I wonder how well they’d actually work in real life.  I’ve never tested them out and I don’t think I ever will because I could never be so forward.  But they might work well for somebody else!
