New Cat

So, over the weekend, my sister and I brought a new kitten into our home and I have discovered something terrible. I am allergic to cats. It is not so bad that I can't go to someone's house who has a cat, but it so bad that I can't live with a cat, especially one that is prone to crawling all over me and everything else. My head aches, my eyes are itchy, my nose is runny, and I have a whole host of other cat induced symptoms. So, now we have to find a new home for the cat or I have to find a new home. I'm pretty sure that this is going to be a case of the cat moving. At any rate, at least I know for the future.

She is cute, but she is just too much for my poor self to handle! Especially because it has become hard for me to breathe, luckily though, I have an inhaler. Stll, though, I would rather be able to breathe in my house than to have a cute cat!

1. The Major and the Minor- A very funny movie with Ray Milland and Ginger Rogers from the 1940s.

2. Bachelor Mother- David Niven and Ginger Rogers. 1939, I think.

3. Some Like it Hot- Tony Curtis, Marilynn Monroe, and a few other big names. Late 50s. Very funny.

4. Annie Get Your Gun- Betty Hutton and Howard Keel.

5. Singin' in the Rain- Debbie Reynolds and Gene Kelly.

6. American Tail.

7. The Wilderness Family Adventures- a little bit corny but fun to watch.

8. Pollyanna. Hayley Mills and Jane Wyman. Can't go wrong there.

9. Gone With the Wind- Clark Gable, Olivia De Havilland, and Vivien Leigh. 1939. A true classic.

10. Sound of Music- Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. I love the songs in this one.

11. My Fair Lady- Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn. Julie Andrews sounded amazing in the Broadway version, it is a pity that Hollywood didn't think she could pull of the film. Obviously, she proved them wrong with her later ventures

12. The Miracle of Morgans Creek- Betty Hutton shines in this is. A very funny movie from the 40s.

13. The Farmer's Daughter- 1930s or 1940s, I can't remember, but it has Loretta Young and Joseph Cotton in it, so you know you can't go wrong!

Cryo-Cell and Breast Cancer

Cryo-Cell International is a company that I have mentioned a few times before on my blog but in case some of you have forgotten or are new readers, I’ll give you a recap. Cryo-Cell International is a company devoted to storing menstrual blood stem cells for their customers and researching the possibilities of menstrual blood stem cells. Already, these stem cells have been shown to help in alleviating a multitude of diseases. Now, Cryo-Cell has partnered with the National Institute of Health to explore the possibility of using menstrual blood stem cells to help in the fight against breast cancer.

Since, as I am sure most of you have noticed, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, Cryo-Cell International has partnered with the Susan B. Komen foundation to make a Cyro-Cell Breast Cancer Donation. For every sale of their “Protect Baby, Protect Mom” service, they will donate $50 to the cause and for every sale of their “C’elle Menstrual Stem Cell” service, they will donate $25 to the Susan B Komen foundation to help fight breast cancer.

Different Types of Yarn

Since I have been crocheting so much lately, I have also been buying a lot of different types of yarn. I have noticed that you can get yarn made out of almost anything. I have seen yarn made out of very traditional things like wool, acrylic, nylon and cotton. I have also seen some yarn made out of not so traditional things like bamboo, corn and soybeans. I have not tried crocheting with any yarn made out of soybeans or corn yet but let me tell you, bamboo yarn is very soft. I have a blend of bamboo and silk and it is beautiful. I am not quite sure what I am going to make out of it yet, though. I think at this point I am a bit more interested in looking and feeling all the different yarns out there than actually deciding what to make out of each one. But, I do want to make something out of each interesting blend that I have found so far just because I think that it is neat!

My sister and I have been thinking a lot lately about whether or not we should adopt a pet. I think that it would be very nice to have a cat around, but of course, where to find the said cat is a problem. Sometimes, you cannot always trust the people you are looking to adopt an animal from. Sadly, people lie and you might find yourself attached to a very sick animal that does not have very long to live or that is in need of a lot of medical help.

Yet, not every place is like this! In fact, I just learned about a fabulous site that can help you find an animal to adopt in your area. It is called Petandgo.com. What is really neat about petandgo.com is that it is in real time and will only show you animals in your area- it searches based on your zip code- that are from reputable shelters. The last thing when you are looking to adopt an animal that you need to worry about is whether or not the people you are dealing with are legitimate. I've been really busy this last week, as you can all probably tell due to the dearth of updates, but I have been busy for good reasons! Not only have I had school and work, but I've learned how to do something that I've been wanting to learn how to do for a long time- make socks!! These are crocheted socks no less, not knitted socks. I am not very good at knitting and I have always been scared to make knitted socks because I have read about it before and it seems to me that it takes a lot of talent-- either with three knitting needles to do the heel or you have to use a curved one?.. anyway, crocheted socks aren't that difficult and don't take very long either. Here is a photo of the second sock that I made. I'm really impressed with myself, but what do you all think?

Is there anything ugly in your life that you would like to be rid of forever? Just looking around my living room, I can see some ugly things that I would like to go. For example, one of my couches is rather old and needs some cosmetic help. I think that I am going to recover it eventually; I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

I never thought that actually having something ugly would come in handy, but it has! Currently, until November 6th of this year, LG is running on a contest on Facebook where you can win a brand new LG Bliss phone or a $50 gift certificate. Rain!!

Rain is in the weather forecast twice for the upcoming week and I am quite over the moon about it! It has not rained in such a long time and I miss it so much. Well, technically, it did rain a few weeks ago, but it happened in the middle of the night and only lasted for a short while. I can't really count that because I did not see it at all. But, with rain scheduled (I like how that sounds- like someone made up a schedule of the weather and thought to themselves, boy it would be so nice to have rain on Tuesday) twice, I think that the chances of me seeing rain are rather excellent!

I am also quite excited for the rain because I now have rain boots! Now, not only are these rain boots comfortable, but they are also very cute! I love to have cute shoes but it is much more important to me to have comfortable shoes. Because, if my shoes aren't comfortable, then I can't really wear them, and that is not any fun at all. Well, I could wear them, but only for a little while before my feet would be blistered and killing me. Somehow, I just don't think that I am really going to go that far for the sake of fashion!

All this past summer, my apartment has always been insanely hot. It didn't matter what the temperature was outside, it was always hot inside. Even now that the weather has cooled down a whole lot, it is still very warm inside of my apartment. The heater is not turned on, in fact the pilot light on the heater isn't even lit, and yet it is still hot. So, I was talking to our apartment manager and she said it is because a lot of hot water pipes are in our apartment floors! Now, that explains a lot! It also makes me pretty happy because that means that we shouldn't even really need to use the heater much this winter because it is just naturally warm in here thanks to the hot water pipes in the floor. There is the silver lining to having an apartment that is hot in the summer, that it will be quite nice in the winter!!

Branson Cooking Weekend

This might seem last minute, but is anyone looking to get away next weekend? If so, then I have found the perfect place for you and your guest to go! 30 day challenge update

So, I was all ready to start this and then I developed a head cold. Of course that would happen! At any rate, I have decided that I need to redefine exactly what it is that I want to do. I want to make exercise part of my daily life again or at least as much of my life as possible. I do want to be active everyday but I am not sure that it is going to be in the form of structured exercise. I think that I my new goal is to exercise three to five times a week rather than to shoot for everyday. This will still be a thirty day challenge but instead of calling it that, I want to call it a monthly challenge. So, my new goal is to exercise three to five times each week for a month. This should be a much easier goal for me to accomplish and I am still going to update my blog on my progress. If any of you out there want to join me, go ahead!

Thursday Thirteen- Thirteen Signs that Fall is Here!

1. Everywhere I step, there are leaves on the ground! I love the crunchy sound that they make and I really wish that I had a rake!

2. The persimmons on the persimmon tree are very orange and ready to be picked.

3. When I wake up in the morning, I am actually cold instead of hot and am searching for more blankets.

4. The maintenance man has to come by and turn on the heater!!

5. It is now a necessity to wear socks so that my feet won't freeze.

6. I no longer find it necessary to shave my legs every day. (no more shorts!)

7. All of my friends are asking me when I am going to be making them scarves and hats for this winter because they already want to wear them.

8. While I don't need them quite yet, I have begun to look for my gloves.

9. Everywhere I look, people are sporting sweaters- yay for cold weather!

10. When I go outside at night, there is a nice fog in the sky.

11. Safeway has started stocking pumpkins and is currently offering a free pumpkin with purchase.

12. People are starting to put up Halloween decorations.

And finally, number 13- Because it is already October!!!!

30 Day Challenge

Well, fall is upon us and I am finding myself less and less motivated to exercise given the cooler weather, well, that, and the fact the fall semester is almost half way over and I am so busy with my new job. So I have decided to do a thirty day challenge for myself where I challenge myself to exercise for thirty days in a row, minus any days where I just can't. I am going to post my progress on my blog and if any of you out there would like to join me, please do! Perhaps we will be able to keep each other motivated!

Thursday Thirteen- 13 Things I should be doing, but am not.

For this week, I decided to do a post about thirteen things that I should be doing, but instead I'm doing the Thursday Thirteen. If you would like to read more thursday thirteens or participate, then please visit the Thursday Thirteen website here.

1. Update my blog- Yes, I think that this one is apparent to all of my readers. My blog really needs updated. Wait a minute, I think that this post actually counts... see, I am working on my list at the same time!

2. Studying for my test this week- as it is already Thursday, time for studying is running out and I need to get on it!

3. Go to the store to buy toilet paper.... yeah, I don't think that this one actualy needs any extra explaining.

4. Drop entrecards.

5. Exercise. Yup, need to do that one too.

6. Take a shower... okay this is not a dire emergency, but I do need to wash my hair.

7. Mop the floor... this one is also not a dire emergency but if I don't do it soon, then it will be!

8. Iron my clothes that need to be ironed- I am actually accumulating a nice pile because I haven't done this in awhile.

9. Shop for more fall and winter clothes-- this is a fun one, but an expensive one, so I have been putting it off.

10. Finish all of my sewing projects- I currently have a whole lot of various items I need to sew. Winter coats, prairie dresses, aprons, shirts, skirts, curtains... the list goes on and on.

11. Wash the dishes-- this should be pretty easy as there are only a few, but I need to actually go buy more dish soap as I am rapidly running out.

12. Practice making rice flour dumplings before dinner tomorrow night. I want to make chicken and dumplings using rice flour only and I have no idea how it will turn out. This is something that I need to try before dinner tomorrow night as I am having dinner company.... must get on that!!

13. Sweep outside. The fall weather has been lovely but has created a bit of a leaf issue... luckily they are everywhere, but it still needs doing.

Hello Everyone!

I just can't believe that it has been so long since my last post! Where oh where has the month gone? Well, I've been really busy with summer school and being on vacation so I haven't had as much time for my poor little blog as I would like to have. Living here over the summer has certainly been interesting. Most days have been stay inside days just because it is so insanely hot outside. Like earlier today, I went out and it was around 106. My skin literally felt like it was on fire and that sad thing about that is that 106 is not the hottest that it has gotten since I've been here and it is not the hottest temperature forecasted for this week. Yikes!

Anyway, since I've been inside so much, I've been working on making my apartment into something beautiful. Now, my apartment was definitely not beautiful when I started, probably because it is old and run down, but I think that it is starting to look nice now. I've been working on making curtains for the living room and pillows for the couches. I think that simple little things like that really add something to a room. Of course, keeping things clean and neat really makes a big difference as well!

The regular semester starts in about a month, which is crazy in my opinion because the summer has gone by so quickly! I wouldn't have called it a vacation at all because I've been very busy working and going to summer school. Hopefully, even though I just started another class today, I can find some time in there to relax because going to school really is mentally exhausting!! At least I don't have to do an abundance of physical labor each day, that would not be fun and would be exhausting in a completely different way.

I hope that all of you readers have been having a nice summer. Hopefully you aren't in an area that is quite as hot as mine and if you are, I hope that you have a whole lot of fans and an air conditioner that works well!

I'm sorry to all of my readers that I haven't updated for awhile. My life has just been so busy as of late! Firstly, I had to finish up school, then pack up, then store stuff, then drive in the car for awhile and then head up to my mom's house. Tori and I are currently on vacation up here for about another week or so. At least, I think that it will be another week or so, I am not really sure.

So far, our vacation has been doing okay. There has just been a massive amount of stuff to do and I am not overly fond of doing a massive amount of stuff. Today alone, we have to finish cleaning up, I have to do laundry, play outside with the kids, go on a picnic, take shower, and go to the store. All of that before dinner too!!! I can definitely say that if I thought my life was busy before, I was wrong... or it was busy in a different way.

I also got a super cool new phone earlier this week, it is a samsung rant. I can type on it because it has a full keyboard, watch tv, listen to music, find out where I am going-- thanks to the gps feature, and more. Yeah, I'm a fan... it was sort of touch and go there for a moment because I accidentally dropped it in the toilet (yes, it was clean water) but it is working again. Good thing I bought phone insurance though!!

Anyway, I have to get back to my picnic planning. I'll update more later!!

So to everyone that I haven't been updating anymore or dropping very much, but life has just been so very hectic lately!! This is the last week of school and next week is finals!! And, we also have to move next week, so that is going to be so much fun!! Not!! Anyway, at least we won't have to deal with moving a lot, at least I think that we won't have to move a lot.

The weather has also been heating up and because of that, I've been feeling not too good, well, that and stress from everything that has been going on. Hopefully though, as soon as these next two weeks are over, life might calm down a little bit and not be so stressful!! One can hope anyway, can't they?

I did get an amazing amount of work done these last few days though. I was able to finish up four book reviews that I hadn't done yet and I was able to read a play that I have to write a paper on. I hope to get that paper finished tomorrow and a few others things. Once I get that paper done, I only have to write one more paper and then I should be good for awhile!

I'm just glad that even though these next few weeks are going to be stressful, I am happy that my list of things to get done is ever diminishing!!!

I'm sorry to all of my readers for the lack of updates this past week. I've been extremely busy. We are now nearing the end of the semester, and pretty soon, it will be finals week. Needless to say, I have a lot of work that I need to get done before it is finals. ARGH! Now, I feel better about my school work that needs to be done.

I also have a lot of other work to get done too. Like, we have to go to the storage place and turn in some paperwork, plus pay for the whole thing, and then we have to move in all of our stuff. First though, we have to pack up everything before we can move it. Let me tell you, it is pretty ridiculous to be trying to finish up school and to try to move at the same time.

We also have to finish up all of this paperwork that we need to do for where we are going to live next year, and we have to try to find jobs over the summer. There are a few places that I know of that are hiring so Tori and I are going to apply there. Hopefully we get something because life is just so expensive!! But I am sure that I don't need to tell my readers that!!

Anyway, I think that I had better get back to the grind because there are quite a lot of things that I wanted to get done today, like packing up a little bit and finishing reading Wicked... which I have been reading since February so it is totally time for me to be done with that book!!

Manta is this really cool roller coaster that lets you feel what it would be like to be a giant ray. You get to spin, glide, skim and fly just as you would if you were a ray. Nice Cool Weather

I'm so excited because the weather has cooled down tremendously and we are now experiencing weather in the 60s and the 70s, which I can handle a lot better than weather in the late 90s and early 100s. That was much, much too hot for own personal comfort. It looks like the cool weather will at least last until next week, but I don't know beyond that. Hopefully, it will stay nice and cool here until I go back home for the summer. It would be most excellent if Torii and I could escape the bulk of the heat. I am sure, of course, that it will be really hot when we come back here in August, but at least I am prepared for it. I am so glad that we are not going to be spending the summer here just because it would be so super hot and I am sure that we would be miserable. I don't know how anyone could be comfortable in the heat because it is just nasty when it is so hot outside that there is nothing worth doing because it would exhaust you too much to even go out there!

In other news, semi-related, I finally figured out which storage place that I am going to use over the summer. There is one right across the street from where we currently are, so it will be very convenient when we are going to put our stuff in there. In August, when we come back, we aren't leaving here again, but it is the same road, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to pick up our stuff, and drive it to our new apartment.

Now, all I have to do before summer vacation is finish up the rest of my school work. Luckily, I don't have too much left to do, but I do have enough that I will feel ever so much better when I get it all done and come move on with my life. I can't believe that it is almost May! Time surely does fly because it still feels like yesterday that Tori and I were heading down here for school!

How prepared are you for summertime? The season is almost upon us and there are a lot of things to think about before you consider yourself prepared for summer. Tori left today for North Carolina. I hope that she has a good time. She will get to see not only our dad, but our grandmother and our sister as well. She isn't so sure that she is going to have a good time, but I told her at the very least, she will be happy to see our sister and our grandmother. Plus, she has never been to NC before, so who knows what sights and sounds she will see and hear? It could be fascinating!

She is still currently en route and I should be asleep, but I know that I won't be able to sleep very well until I know that she has arrived saftely. So, I'm just spending some time on the computer waiting for her plane to land. She promised to call me, knowing that if she didn't, I wouldl likely freak out and fly out there after her... okay, maybe I wouldn't fly out there after her right away but I would freak out!

Anyway, I had better try to sleep or something so that I am super tired tomorrow. I wonder what type of dreams I will have....

Making Summer Clothes

Since coming here for school, last August, I've lost about 25 pounds and consequently, all of the summer clothes-- well most of them since some of them are drawstring and those still fit, don't fit anymore and are too large. So, I've been going through all of my clothes and getting rid of the ones that are just way too big and then I'm trying to think of ways that I can make the remaining clothes fit better. I think that I am going to just take them in on the leg. But, I don't want to mess up the pockets in the front or the back, so I think that I do it mostly from the back, then it won't mess up the front pocket. I don't know though because I have never tried to take in pants before so if anyone has any good pointers or ideas out there, let me know! I don't want to spend money on new clothes right now so I am trying to make do with what I have.

I have also cut off the legs on a few pairs of pants to turn them into shorts or capris. I have done that before, and that is not a problem at all. I just wish that I knew a better way than my made up way of taking the pants in.

I also think that I am going to sew some skirts and shorts for myself. I have a fair amount of fabric, so that I think that it shouldn't be too hard. I've made both before, just never for myself, but I do have plenty of patterns, so I think that it will work out alright!

Well, since it is so hot outside, I haven't felt like doing my homework today, although, truth be told, I don't have that much to do because I got a lot done yesterday and on Saturday night, so it is okay that I haven't done anything yet.

Instead, I've just been busy watching some really old "Road to Avonlea" episodes. I really love that show! Aunt Hetty is a stitch and I love the romance between Aunt Olivia and Jasper Dale in the earlier episodes. He is such a bumbling fool most of the time, well, I guess that I shouldn't say that he is a fool since he is actually really smart, but he does bumble and fumble around a lot, but I think that he was a great choice for Aunt Olivia. The actress who plays her did a great job, in my opinion, because she always seems so genuinely excited when she sees Jasper Dale. You can tell that she likes him!

It was actually quite funny once, when I first started watching the series, well rather I started re-watching the series when I was about twenty because I hadn't seen it since I was younger, I had a professor who looked rather like Jasper Dale. Only my teacher wasn't nearly as tall and filled out as Jasper Dale, but I thought that there was a rather striking resemblance. I guess it would have been funnier if I had found someone who looked like Aunt Olivia too... but I never did.

Anyway, I had better start sewing (I am making a little jacket for Tori) or I had better get on my homework. So much to do, so little.

Feeling A lot Calmer

I'm feeling so much calmer this week than last week about my school work, but that is probably due to the fact that I had two big papers due this week and I had another midterm. Although, I am not really sure that I should call it a midterm because it is well over mid-term, but that is what it was called, so there you have. I just realized too that I only have two more papers to write!! You don't know how excited that makes me because I had so many papers to write this semester and to only have two more means that I am almost done! Which is exciting on the one hand and a little bit scary on the other hand because I don't know what the summer will hold. I think it will just be more school work and actual work, but you never really know!

Anyway, since I had so much stuff to do today at school, Tori and I had another fun and easy dinner. We both had some really good potato salad, but she got a different type than I did, and she also got some teriyaki wings. Apparently, since the wings were made this morning, the deli guy gave her a few more since they were slightly dry-- so it was a great deal! I also got an avocado for dinner, but I have not eaten it yet, even though I love avocados.

Tomorrow I am really excited because I got a new book in the mail and I'll actually have time to read it tomorrow because I don't have a lot of homework! I might even get to watch more of the Tudors, which my roommate lent me, although I might have time because I'll probably want to get through all of my book.

There are a few good reasons why you should always pay attention when you are sewing, and one of them happens to be so that you sew your seam correctly. I have been trying to sew a skirt for Victoria for the past hour and it is plaguing me. I've been talking and chatting while I've been working on it and it is led to diaster. First, I sewed the fabric on the wrong side so that it didn't match up to the other side. I had to rip out that seam, which took a good twenty minutes because the linen that I am making it out of it so fickle, then I attempted to sew it again. I thought that I had pinned it correctly but once it was done, I realized that I had made another mistake. I put the top part on backwards on the seam, if that makes any sense which it probably doesn't without a picture. But I am probably the only person alive who could manage to sew a seam on backwards twice and it be backwards a different way each time!!

This is exactly why you should always pay attention to what you are doing. It will be much less of a hssle and a giant nightmare in the end if you do!

Cleaning Silver

I found this old silver platter that my grandma had given me before I left Chico today and since it was rather tarnished and dirty, I decided that I might as well clean. Now, I've only cleaned silver a few times before in my life, but I must admit that I forgot how much of a hassle it could be! It wasn't really that much fun, but at least I was able to get it looking more like silver than bronze or brass!!

I do think that I need to get some silver polish or something though because it could still do with some more cleaning, but it is much, much, much better looking than when I first started. I'm just glad that I don't have a lot of silver that needs polishing a lot. Although, I guess that if you clean it regularly, then it wouldn't get so tarnished.....

I know that it is a little late, but I decided to do a Thursday Thirteen for this week. This week, I am doing Thirteen Things that I put off that I shouldn't.

1. Doing my homework. Unfortunately I do this a lot, which only leads to trouble for me later.

2. Doing my laundry--- what I can say? The laundry place is far and I have a lot of clothes.

3. Doing the dishes- Although I am getting better on this one, but I am also trying to conserve water and not wash my dishes if I only have one thing to wash. I do, as a rule though, always wash all of my dishes for the day before I go to bed.

4. Putting away the dishes-- this I am bad at, but so is everyone else who lives with me and quite frequently we have an abundance of clean dishes on the counter.

5. Going to bed at a good time. I always put off going to bed so that I can get more done. Not so smart in the long run, I know.

6. Going to the store. I don't like going grocery shopping because I find it to be hassle, so I often put that off too.

7. Responding to emails that I don't have an immediate answer to. Sometimes I'll let emails go for a long time after I should have responded. I definitely need to work on that!

8. Writing school papers. I suppose that this would really fall under the category of homework, but I neglect to this at a proper time all the time!

9. Taking out the recycling. Because of where the recycling bin is in the house, I often forget to take it out until I go over there and look at it. Sad, I know, but true. All of this making me sound like I am a bad house-keeper or ultra messy, which isn't true either.

10. The Thursday Thirteen! Obviously I've been putting this off, although I don't dread doing it or anything, I just forget to do it until it is so late that it isn't Thursday anymore. Sad, I know because I actually enjoy doing it!

11. Planning what to make for dinner. Since moving here, it just seems that I have like no ideas for dinner, so I often wait until the last second to figure out what I am going to make. So, we often have very similar things or just repeats of other things.

12. Making appointments. I always put this off because I am never sure of when I will want to do something.

13. Shredding old papers. I have so many right now that I have to shred, but I keep putting it off because it will be a hassle. I shouldn't do that, I know, but I do!

How to Explain Crepes

So, one of my roommmates has never had crepes and I was trying to explain them to her, but nothing I could say seemed satisfactory. Sure, they are like little thin pancakes, but they don't tatse like pancakes at all. You can put anything in them, and they taste delicious, but i couldn't think of a good way to describe them at all. Finally, I broke down and made her some. They semmed really good and filled them with some berries that I had sweetened. They were a hit with everybody else who tried them but she was not a fan.

All of that just to explain what a crepe tastes like and she didn't even like it. My only advice to her was to not tell anyone if she ever went to France.

Over the weekend, I received a pedometer, courtesy of Bumble Bee Foods. Now, why would a food company send Courtney a pedometer, you might be wondering. Well, I’ll tell you! Bumble Bee Foods is currently sponsoring a program called BeeWell Miles from now until October 31, 2009. During this time, Bumble Bee Foods will donate 15 cents for every mile logged into their website, up to $200,000, for the Breast Cancer Network of Strength.

Bumble Bee Foods sent me a pedometer so that I could start walking and help them to spread the word for their cause, and hopefully get started on a cause of my own—being healthier! So, I broke out my pedometer today to track how many steps I took and how many miles that I walked. Even though I didn’t think that I went very far today, just doing what I would normally do on a Monday which included a slight walk to look at the local flora and fauna, I took over 7,500 steps! That meant that I walked over two miles without even meaning to! Just by doing what I normally do, I helped get 30 cents for the Breast Cancer Network of Strength!

Now 30 cents by itself isn’t a lot, but if I did that much every day, from now until the program is over, I could potentially help raise over $60, and if I got ten friends to do the same that would be over $600 and if they got ten friends to do the same, the number would be astounding!

Confessions of a Shopaholic and other things

Tori and I had quite a lovely weekend. The weather was marvelous. I was able to enjoy it and get a lot of my homework done! I was really rather proud of myself that I accomplished so much during this last weekend, because normally, I am not in the mood to do homework during the weekend. The weekend, in my opinion, should be for relaxing and a little bit of laziness. But, I guess that I was able to solve the secret formula of how to have your cake and eat it too because I actually relaxed and did what I needed to get done.

On Sunday night, as a reward and because I really wanted to see the film, Tori and I got to go out and watch "Confessions of a Shopaholic". The campus does this thing where they are able to show movies before they come out on DVD. Both Tori and I, and the rest of the audience, thought that the movie was a stitch. I actually think that it was one of the funnier romantic comedies that I have seen for awhile and I think that I will buy it whenever it does come out on DVD.

I also got to watch "True Lies" this weekend, and I have not seen that movie in ages. I remember watching it when I was younger, so it was definitely a blast from the past to see it come on TV. Jamie Lee Curtis's strip tease is still a riot!

About this time last year, I ordered a lot of pretty checks because I needed them but now I can’t use any of them since I moved and have a new address. I’d like to get some new checks, but there are so many different places that sell checks on the Internet, it is hard to tell who is a reputable company and who isn’t. I certainly wouldn’t want to order pretty checks online only to find out that ordering from that company was a big mistake.

Today, though, I remembered a company that I had seen before and when I went to their website, I realized that they had exactly what I was looking for in the way of checks! Vista Print! It is very windy outside, at least, it sounds very windy outside. I haven't personally gone out there and checked, but I sure can hear it! And, I like it a lot. To me, it sounds like a storm is brewing out there or something else like that. As long as I am safe and warm inside, I don't care if the wind howls or not.... plus, for some reason, that actually is putting me into a mood wehre I would want to get some of my school work done. I guess it is because there is no way that I would want to go outside since it is so windy!! Everything would blow away!

Anyway, I think that I had better get back to what I was doing and finish writing my paper before my mood changes and I no longer want to work on it. And knowing me, that would totally happen!!

I've just not been in the mood

I've just not been in the mood at all lately to do my school work. The weather outside and life in general is just too distracting for me to want to concentrate on doing homework, reading and writing papers. Ah, why does Spring always have to be like this? There are only about six more weeks of school, which might sound like a lot, but really isn't a lot at all, so now is not the time to be falling off of my game and not doing what I need to be doing.

I just can't help it though because there always seems to be something else that I would rather be doing. I guess that I will be excited with Summer Vacation comes along, but I'll probably get bored half-way through summer and wish that I was at school again. Actually, now that I stop to think about it, I won't have time in the summer to get bored because I will be going to summer school, working, and helping out with the children back home. I am fairly certain that with all of that, I won't have time to get bored at all with my school work because I might have a hard time fitting it in!

I guess, it could be too that I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. This semester seems to have gone by so quickly and I have so much left to do that I get a bit anxious when I think about it and I stop to do it. Maybe I'll make a list of major things left to do and cross them off as I go along. I try really hard to be such a procrastinator, but sometimes, you just can't help it.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed my rather boring update. I had better get back to doing my geography homework, at least I am almost down with that. I am bound and determined to get that done tonight and some of my reading for my English class. I feel dreadfully behind on that, even if I am not, and it will be nice to get a bit more of it under my belt before this week-end.

When I was younger, I loved to play different sci-fi card games with my dad and my brothers. Now, people don’t really play cards that much because of the growing popularity of the internet, but I just read about Herobits Collectible Card Game, which will be released on June 21, 2009 and I think that it has the potential to bring card-playing back. Playing card games with people in real life is so much more satisfying to me personally as well, because then everyone gets more involved in the process, and I think, has more fun.

Herobits sounds like a really exciting game to play. Basically, in the game, you are an armored power super hero fighting to save the world. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? Also, Herobits cards feature some pretty unique artistry. Different talented artists created every character. So, even if you don’t have time to play the game, you should still get the cards for their artwork!

Clean Laundry

Yesterday, did all of my laundry, which turned out to be a very good thing because I had a massive amount of it piling up. Okay, not really a massive amount, but still I had enough laundry for two loads. Luckily, I went to the laundry room at a time when it wasn't very crowded. The laundry room is about a city block from where I live, and believe me, it would not be any fun to tot it all the way down there just to find out that I couldn't do laundry because all of the machines were full. Yeah, not going for it!

I did have fun doing it though because the weather was finally nice enough for me to dry it outside. Now, some people don't like to dry their laundry outside because they think that it takes too much time, or the clothes get stiff, or they won't smell good. I however, love to dry them outside because it is so old-fashioned, plus it saved me a buck fifty!

I'd say good job on that front, Courtney.

I think that you would have to have been asleep for the past year or so to not have noticed that the economy is pretty bad right now. Yum, Fresh Bread!

I felt like cooking today, so I decided to make some fresh bread. It isn't done yet, but it will be done just in time for dinner. I am also making some home-made mashed potatoes, some sauteed green beans, and some grilled chicken. I'm partial to my own cooking, but even if I do say so myself, I think that it will turn out to be delicious. Tori is also excited, since she is going to be eating dinner with me, so I think that it should be good on all fronts.

I also want to make some cinnamon rolls for breakfast tomorrow, but I am not sure that I will actually get to it. One, I don't want to make them right now since I am making the other bread, and two, I don't want to do it and make a big mess. I already spent a few hours cleaning up the apartment today, so I want to be able to enjoy it for awhile without it messy again.

But, fresh homemade cinnamon rolls are just so good!! I guess I'll see if I feel like starting them after dinner and just cooking them in the morning.... so that the apartment would just smell so good!! Hehehe, maybe I will do that... I know that my roommates sure would be pleased!

The apartment is now finally termite free! But, the apartment smells HORRIBLE because of the stuff that they used to kill them all. Yuck, hopefully, it will go away soon. We have all of the windows open, luckily it is a very nice day, but I don't know how much that will help. I just hope that it helps a whole lot.

School seemed to be very long today, probably because I had to wake up really early so that the termite people could come. I am definitely not used to that and I am pretty sure that I am not a fan of it! At least that should be the end of my waking up early.

Termite Free!! I am so very excited! The pest control people are going to be coming out tomorrow to take care of our termite problem and hopefully, I won't have to deal with termites anymore! At least, I won't have to deal with termites while living here. Apparently, everybody in this town has termites or will have termites. That does not sound like fun to me, but at least I am well prepared for it ever happens again.

They are going to be drilling a lot outside- all of the patios for this building and all of the entry ways. They will also be drilling into the wall behind the kitchen sink. Apparently, those spots should make sure that they don't come back inside of the apartment anymore, and hopefully, it will kill some of the ones that are underground and discourage the bugs from coming up again. At least, I really hope that it does!

I'll have to update tomorrow and let you all know if it were worked or not. I'm crossing my fingers that it does, so that I can have a nice relaxing time this weekend since there is no school on Tuesday! Yay!

If only I didn't have two tests tomorrow, I'd be happier....

I finally own a piece of furniture! I now have a lovely purprle dish chair thanks to my roommate Lacey who had a few too many chairs. (Her mom went a little bit crazy at the beginning of the semester and bought her about five chairs or chair like things because they were on sale.) She was going to give it to Salvation Army, but since I can use it-- since I have no furniture-- I am really enjoying it.

Of course, I do have the furniture that is in my room, like my desk, bed and a very uncomfortable chair, but I don't actualy own those and I can't take them with me when I move out of here in a few months. Not that I would really want to take them with me because they are really old and I could probably find nicer stuff on the side of the road, but I digress.

Anyway, I am thrilled that I have a comfy place to sit and watch TV instead of just sitting on bed and watching TV. It will also be great when people come over, because there will be more places for people to sit!!

Now, if only I could more furniture for free...

Apparently, I have spent my entire life making kool-aid incorrectly because I didn't know until recently that you have to ADD sugar to kool-aid!!! I always thought that you didn't, probably because when I was younger and I watched my mom make it, she never, ever put sugar in it. I guess that could explain why when I make kool-aid, it tastes really tart and doesn't taste that well. I think that sugar must really, really help add in some flavor!

Does that ever happen to anybody else, though? When you realize something so simple and silly like that, something that you hadn't realized before? This happens to me all the time when I see something or hear something that I haven't heard before and I think that it is so novel. Please tell me that I am not the only one who does this!! Thursday Thirteen

I've never really been big on memes, but I saw this on another blog, The Thursday Thirteen, so I thought that I would give it a shot because it sounded like fun. If you would like to participate or see others, please visit this link!

This Thursday Thirteen is NCIS inspired. If you have ever seen the show, then you know that Gibbs has a certain set of rules that he uses for everyday life...this is my version, or something like it! Or at least a set of principles that I think are always good to keep in mind!

1. Never let anyone you don't know get too familiar with your daily schedule.

2. Never leave home without checking both of your feet to make sure that you are wearing the same pair of shoes.

3. Always put on a pair of clean underwear before you go jogging just in case you pass out in the middle of the road and have to be taken to the hospital via ambulance.

4. Never fry jalapenos, believe me, it is not a good idea.

5. Never use mint toothpaste for face cream.

6. Never drink out of a cup that you can't see into. (i.e. in the dark)

7. Don't ever wave a lit firecracker over your head.

8. Even though it might seem like a good idea at the time, you should leave building swimming pools to the professionals.

9. Always carry a map.

10. Never roller-skate in the grass, it can only lead to problems.

11. Never swing your groceries over your head, especially if the bag happens to be full of eggs.

12. Don't ever test to see if the iron is hot by placing your hand on it.

13. Never buy perfume outside of a shady liquor store, inside might be okay, but never outside.

How Ironic!

So, this weekend, while our friends were visiting us, we had some pretty bad weather. Well, it wasn't exactly bad, but it certainly wasn't the best weather that we've had. It was very, very windy and it was pretty grey and yucky outside. But today, the first day that they are not here, our weather has cleared up marvelously well. Finely, the wind is not blowing wildly and the sun has come out! I don't know what to make of it, but at least they didn't mind it too much because they are used to weather like that.

We did get to take Rosie to Chuck E Cheese before they left which was a lot of fun. It was sort of touch and go there for a minute because we waited so long to leave because we got distracted with other activities-- making dinner, taking naps, being on the phone, etc. But, we made it to Chuck E Cheese about fifty minutes before they closed and they let us stay half of an hour past closing, which was really really nice because all Rosie wanted to do was play. Of course, all we wanted to was play! In the end, we got almost a 1,000 tickets and Rosie was able to pick what she wanted from the prize selection. What she wanted was only about 200 tickets, but the rest of us put the rest of the tickets to go use.

What can I say? Chuck E Cheese is a lot of fun no matter how old you are! Even though the Chuck E Cheese here is pretty small and a little podunk, it was still a lot of fun. Now, I can't say that they have good food there-- because the pizza is not really tasty-- they do have the best games! We also took pictures from their picture machines, so I have a few to remember the day by-- that is if I can remember where I put them.

Anyway, I hope that everyone else is having a good week thus far! I'm quite behind on the homework that I wanted to get done during break, haven't even really started what I wanted to started, but I still have a few days left to get cracking!! And I have tonight too, if I feel like it... but whether I will or not remains to be seen!

Kissimmee

Like most people, I really like to go on vacation, but again like most people, I don’t care for the cost of a vacation! Today though, I just found out about the Kissimmee Freedom Sweepstakes! I like this particular sweepstakes for a few reasons, firstly, it is to a pretty neat place in Florida called Kissimmee and secondly, because there is more than one prize! They are giving away three- that’s right 3—weekend getaways which includes a 3 day/2 night stay and they are giving away two—2- week-long vacations for four people!

Now, even if you don’t win one of their vacations, Kissimmee is still a fabulous place to visit because so many of their local attractions are free. Had a Great Weekend

I had a pretty fun weekend, in fact, I had more fun that I thought that I would have! Some of our family from back home decided to come visit us for a few days and they were able to bring Rosie with them!! I haven't seen any of the kids since I left for school in August, so it was very nice to be able to spend some time with her. She was so excited to see me that she just ran up to me and jumped in my arms. We also got to watch a few movies yesterday. Apparently, that was one of the things that she missed doing with me the most. She picked out about ten movies and declared tht we were going to watch them all. It didn't quite work out like that, we only got through three, but she had a great time. They don't have to go back until tomorrow morning, so I am sure that we could fit in a few more movies if she really wanted to, but so far today, she has been off doing other fun things-- watching movies hasn't been one of her top priorities!

I also gave her a bath last night, apparently that was another thing that we used to do that she had been missing. I gave her all of this fancy soap that she used in the bath tub and she loved it! That girl is such a girlie girl sometimes, but I love her and I wouldn't have it any other way. But, she also knows how to have fun when she wants to have fun!

Later, she is going to be surprised with a trip to Chuck E Cheese, since there is not one up where we live and I think that she will have a super time! Even though she probably only gets to go to Chuck E Cheese a few times a year, if that, she certainly loves it!!

Dolphin Bubbles

I must admit that bubbles have always fascinated me. I love to blow bubbles. There is just something so relaxing about the whole process. In fact, I don’t think that I have ever met anyone who doesn’t like to blow bubbles or who doesn’t like bubbles. Bubbles are just inherently fun.

Did you know that humans are not the only animals that blow bubbles? I just watched the neatest video about dolphins blowing bubbles at Sea World. Now, these Dolphin Bubbles are a bit different from human bubbles because the dolphins are actually making these bubbles under water using air from their blow holes—they don’t have to use a wand or soap like I do!

Apparently, this is a relatively new phenomenon in the dolphin world because up until recently, very few dolphins were actually able to do this. The dolphins are learning this technique from each other! How cool is that? You can actually watch the evolution of the dolphin culture in the video!

I’m so excited that my cousin and his wife are pregnant with their first child. Both of them have wanted to start a family for a while now, but the timing hadn’t been quite right until now. My cousin’s wife is over the moon because her sister is also pregnant and they are due around the same time. I am going to have to tell her about this website I found that does Birth Announcements and holiday photo cards. I didn't exactly know what to title this post because on the one hand, I am rather excited and on the other hand, I'm pretty much grossed out. I'm excited that the bug people are coming next week to drill into the kitchen wall to kill the termites! Hopefully, they will also be able to do something about the termites in one of my roommate's room. Thankfully, she is the only one who has them. Then on the other hand, I'm just grossed out that we have bugs.

At least we don't have any other bugs though, like cockroaches. That would be a bit too much!! Also, it is not very vacationy (this I do not think is a real word, but you know what I mean? It just doesn't sound like vacation to have to deal with nasty termites) to have to be dealing with bugs, but I guess it is just a fact of life.

Since I live in the city, I don’t get to do as many outdoorsy types of activities as I would like. But, this summer, once I go back home, I think that I am going to go camping with my cousin. Officially on Break and Rereading Old Favorites

Since I do not have class tomorrow, I am now officially on break and I am very excited about it! On the one hand, it seems like this semester just started yesterday and on the other hand, it seems like this semester has been going on forever. I am quite excited to be getting a week's break. However, I do have a lot of homework-- mostly papers- that I need to be working on, so I am not really sure how much I will be able to rest up, but at least I won't have to worry about waking up and going to school!

I am also really excited because in my spare time lately, not that I have much of it because I have been busy with school, I have been rereading some of my favorite old books. Right now, I am working on "The Secret Garden". I haven't read that book in a few years, but it is one of my favorite! I also think that I might read some other Frances Hodgson Burnett after this like "Little Lord Fauntleroy" or "A Little Princess".

I don't know though, because I really want to read my Anne books, as in "Anne of Green Gables" and I have not read those in a really long time. I guess I'll have to see what sort of mood that I am in next week when I go to read. I did read "Rilla of Ingleside" a few weeks ago but for some reason I was not in the mood for the earlier Anne books. Shocking, I know, but true.

New Search Engine

I think that I am a search engine junkie because I keep on finding out about all of these new search engines. For example, today I came across the AAfter Web Search Engine and so far, I like it a lot because it has a lot of neat features. Now, it has a lot of basic search engine features that most search engines today have like local business links, personalized information for your zip code, and spell check, but I honestly think that they take everything to the next level. Aafter.com has a lot of other neat features like an anonymous twitter tool that allows you post what you are thinking without having to have a twitter account. I also like that they can connect with you information on any domain name by using their domain research tools. Take a look!

More on the bugs

So, it turns out that we do indeed have termites! The maintenance people came out with a real bonafide bug guy earlier this afternoon and he diagnosed subterranean termites. I guess the termites were building a swarming nest, but since we killed it and got rid of it, they weren't able to swarm in our apartment! This is very good news and makes me pretty happy. Apparently, they are going to treat it outside-- since that is where the little buggers live- and that should take care of the problem. I am just really glad that they are not going to have to tent the building because it would displace a lot of people.

Now, let's just hope that we don't have any other occurrences with any other random bugs. I think that I have had my fill of bugs for awhile....at least, if they are going to come, I hope they come when I am not here! Living with bugs in the house is just too disgusting and it grosses me out to think about it. Yuck.

Personally, I love to go boating because it can be very relaxing. Lots of people I know like to do this when the weather is nice. However, boating can be dangerous if you don’t follow the proper safety protocol. All too often, people will mix alcohol with boating and if you have ever been out to a lake when people are doing this, I am sure that you have noticed that Boating and Alcohol Don't Mix!

Boating is an activity that requires a lot of attention, it is like driving, and you need to be able to stay focused to think clearly. If you drink while you are trying to operate a boat, you are flirting with disaster and could become seriously injured and injure others as well.

It has been so incredibly nice and sunny outside these last few days. It is a rather pleasant break from all of that rain that we had. Although, I am thankful that we got rain since we are currently in a drought and do actually need the rain. The sun just reminds me that spring is around the corner and I am quite excited! The more that I read and learn about Branson, Missouri, the more I am convinced that Branson truly has something for everyone. Seriously, I think that if you go to Branson, Missouri and can’t find something to do or something that you like, then you are probably one of the pickiest people alive! I’ve blogged before about how Branson is a great location for a winter holiday, romantic retreat, outdoor retreat, great place to go to see live entertainment, great place for sports, great if you love pie, great if you love airplanes and the like, and now Branson is a great place to be if you are a young Christian.

I aced my midterm!!

I'm so proud of myself because I completely and totally aced my midterm that I had last week. We got our results back today and I only missed 2 points!! I am glad that I did well because I worked for a long time on the study guide-- which was very long. In fact, by the time I was done doing the study guide, it was 8 pages front and back. Whew. I am very glad that we got to see what our grades were on the test before Spring Break. It would have bothered me all break not knowing my grade but now I am quite happy!

Now... if only I could find out what I got on my paper before break, I'd be super happy--assuming that I did a good job and not a horrible one. Although, I am fairly certain that I did do a good job since I also worked for a long time on it.

So far the little buggers have not come back into the kitchen, for which I am rather thankful. I have been spraying the area, so I think that that is really helping it. Still no cool on what they are, but apparently, there was a small occurrence of them in one of my roommates room. She had a different maintenance guy come check hers, but he doesn't think that they are termites. He said to get some bug traps or something and let them eat it. Hopefully with that and the spray, the darn things will leave us alone! That is currently the plan at any rate!

Finally, after trying to drop all day, I got entrecard to work. Of course, it did involve me completely reseting my browsers, but I was able to do more than two drops at a time with the darn things freezing! I really hope that that doesn't happen anymore because it was pretty annoying. I am now completely caught with dropping, at least I think that I am caught up. Sorry if I missed anyone!

Trouble with Entrecard

For some reason, I am having a lot of trouble with entrecard today. Whenever I try to load up blogs in my browser, regardless of which browser it is, it will for a blog or two and then it will freeze. I am not quite sure what is going on with it, but I will try to get all of my drops in, although I am not sure at this point how that is going to work.

Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

BUGS!

Yesterday afternoon I discovered some rather odd and nasty bugs in the dining room. Right under the window, there was this long-- about six inchces- streak of what looked to be stuck on mud. I didn't know what the heck it was so I knocked off a little bit of it with the dust pan and out fell a few of these clear white little bugs!!! I called my grandpa and he thought it sounded like termites!!

We sprayed down the are and the maintenance people just came and took the dirt substance and the bugs away. They said that they don't know what it is and if it happens again to not mess it and tell them so that they can take a look at it. But they did say that it was a good thing that we killed.... I just really, really, really hope that the bugs don't come back because I don't want to deal with it.

Wishful thinking, I guess. Although I am going to keep on spraying the area and maybe that will hold them off until we move out of here and then the maintenance people can do whatever it is that they need to do to make sure that the little buggers don't come back anymore!

I woke up pretty early this morning and since I was awake, I decided to go ahead and start getting ready for school. Which worked out well, because I got dressed and ate a decent breakfast, but at the end of all of that, I was still very tired. I figured that it wouldn't be a big deal if I took a twenty minute nap because normally, if I take a nap like that, I'll be pretty invigorated. Well, that did not happen today! My twenty minute nap turned into a TWO hour nap making me late for school!! It turned out alright in the end because we were just watching a documentary in that class today, but I wasn't really happy with myself. I never like to be late, who does, and I am usually early if anything. I guess that I must have been really tired... at least when I got up, I stayed up!

Does that ever happen to any of you?

What I've been doing on the Entrecard Market

I blogged a little bit ago asking folks what they did with their entrecard credits and how I was going to try out the Entrecard market. Well, dear readers, I did try out the market, and so far I love it! The first thing that I bought was from Sky Yoga Studios and it was the loveliest eco-friendly tree-free handmade journal that I have ever seen. It is so pretty that I feel rather unequal to writing in it. The only thing that I don't like is that I can't purchase more of them from Sky Yoga Studio!

The second item that I bought was from Living Botanical Natural Vegan Beauty. My nose hurts

... because it is cold?? I have no idea if it really hurts because it is cold but my nose does hurt. It almost feels like I got hit in the nose or something... but it isn't bruised, so I don't know what happened. I hope that if feels better tomorrow because as anyone who has ever had a shore nose can tell you, it doesn't feel very good at all! Ah well, I do hope that I can sleep it off.

Incredibly Rainy Today!

It has been very rainy today, which was nice on the one hand because we really need the rain but bad on the other hand because I had to run a few errands. Of course, if I had been smart, I would have ran my errands yesterday-- which I had meant to do but I forget. So, I had to go out today. Luckily, I was smart enough to wait until there was a lull in the rain and then just get what I needed and then leave again. Unfortunately though, since I was in such a hurry, I actually forgot to get quite a lot of stuff. Okay, it is isn't that much-- vegetables, pasta sauce, juice, etc... but I did mean to get it today!! It turned alright in the end though because if I had bought everything that had been on my list, then I would have been in trouble because it was hard enough to carry what I did buy let alone all of the groceries that I wanted to buy! It is gong to rain tomorrow as well, but with a little bit of luck, there will be a lull so that I can go out again. If not, I'll just have to brave the rain-- something that I am not actually looking forward to doing!

In other related news, our power went out a few times today. Of course, when it goes out here, it only stays out for a few minutes and then it will come back on. But, the last time it went out tonight, it stayed out for ten minutes and so many people were freaking out outside. Now, where I used to live, we would get blackouts that would last for days and days, so a ten minute black out does not freak me out. It was very, very dark though and I hope that it doesn't go out anymore since everything here is electric. ...

Branson in the Spring!

Some of you may remember me talking about how great Branson, Missouri is because there is so many fun things that you can do there and many great places to stay- specifically the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the HIlton Branson Convention Center Hotel. But, did you know that Branson, Missouri is also a great place to visit in the spring? Spring seems to me like the perfect time to spend time outside, so why would anyone want to go Branson? Let me explain. Branson, Missouri, while it is known as an entertainment capital of the world, is a great place to experience the outdoors. There are many golf courses, lakes, caves and the Ozark Mountains near Branson. Branson is also a great place for sports. This year, Branson will be hosting the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament from March 11-19 and the Walmart FLW Bass Tournament from March 12-15, 2009.

Time for Midterms, Already?

Blech, it seems like the semester just started but it is already time for midterms! I have two next week and then one the week after. I'm glad that was ahead on my homework, but now I am feeling a little overwhelmed and a bit behind, even though I am not behind. I've been filling out some of my study guides and reading, but the pressure is most definitely on! I also have three different papers due before spring break. That is going to be much fun, but at least I don't have a lot of papers due immediately before spring break. That would not be fun! I do, however, have another midterm after spring break. Oh well, I guess that all I can do is study! At least I have this weekend to study and work on stuff before I take my tests next week.

For those of you who use entrecard out there, what do you do with all of your credits? I was thinking about this last week as I realized that I had an insane amount of credits, even with buying ads. I decided to see what I could do with them. I thought about selling them, but once I read that you couldn't do that anymore, I changed my mind. So, I went over to the newly opened Entrecard Market and I must say, there really is a lot of cool stuff over there. So far, I haven't bought that much, but I did buy some really neat vegan lip glosses. Anyway, other than using them for ads or at the market, what can you do with your credits?
